Missionary Care
Why We Exist
Frontlines helps churches love and care for missionaries well, helping them avoid burnout and extend faithful years on the field.
We do this by providing:
Frontlines Training — E-courses, virtual cohorts, and live teaching for care teams, missionaries, and aspiring missionaries, all built around the 7-Heart Marks of a Spiritually Healthy Frontline Worker.
Frontlines Counseling — Heart-focused, church-centered biblical counseling that helps missionaries apply the 7-Heart Marks to the realities of life and ministry.
The Frontlines Platform* — A simple, 3-in-1 platform for pastors, church leaders, and admin staff that combines a centralized Care Hub, customizable training, and pipeline management. Giving pastors more time to shepherd their people.
*The platform can be used specifically for missionary care and development or church-wide to include all members and interns as well.
All so that more people hear the good news of the gospel, more healthy churches are planted and strengthened, and more worship is given to Jesus among the nations.
This amounts to a minimum $60 million loss annually—but the spiritual cost is even greater.

Frontlines helps protect your missionary investment. So much time, training, and finances go into preparing workers to go do a difficult task in the hardest places on earth.
The Role of the Church
Missionaries thrive best when they are sent and supported by churches that know them, help care for them, and walk with them well. When assessment, preparation, and care are lacking, it negatively impacts not only the missionary but also their family, teammates, and the very people they seek to reach with the gospel.
Spiritually Healthy Missionaries
Missionary health isn’t just about skills; it’s about godly endurance. Over years of counseling and training, we’ve identified seven essential characteristics for missionaries to faithfully endure cross-cultural work. These marks shape everything we do, from training to counseling, and is the soil from which The Frontlines Platform was developed.
Our Story
Frontlines began in 2019 out of a growing conviction that many churches deeply desired to care well for their missionaries but often lacked the time, tools, or training to do so at the level and consistency they longed for. As a result, too many frontline workers were being sent into challenging ministry contexts, struggling in isolation, and leaving the field prematurely.
As we prayerfully took a deep dive into Scripture, listened to missionaries, and partnered with local churches, we developed the 7-Heart Marks of a Spiritually Healthy Frontline Worker. This framework became the DNA of our ministry and now shapes every resource, training, and counseling session we provide.
Over the years, we’ve been grateful to see the Lord bear fruit in the lives of missionaries and strengthen churches through our training and counseling. But as we continued serving local churches, a recurring challenge emerged: pastors and leaders wanted to provide intentional care and development for their people, but administrative obstacles kept getting in the way. In response to that burden, we were able to build The Frontlines Platform—a practical tool designed to help churches streamline care, training, and development, freeing pastors to spend more time shepherding the people God has entrusted to them.
